U.S. Army Specialist Dennis Gregory Jensen, 21, of Vermillion, South Dakota, was killed in action on August 16, 2011, at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Specialist Joshua Michael Seals, 21, of Porter, Oklahoma, served with Company F, 700th Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma National Guard. He was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 16, 2011.

U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Allen Harmon, 29, of Lengby, Minnesota, was killed in action on August 14, 2011, in Yah Ya Khel district, Paktika province, Afghanistan.

First Lieutenant Damon Thomas Leehan, 30, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was a U.S. Army National Guard officer. He was killed in a hostile incident in the Alingar District of Laghman Province, Afghanistan, on August 14, 2011.

CPL Vandreumel, Joseph Andrew, 32, a native of GRAND RAPIDS, MI, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY A, 1ST BATTALION, 2ND INFANTRY REGIMENT, 172 IBCT, GRAFENWOEHR, GERMANY, during Operation Enduring Freedom on August 14, 2011. Cause: HOSTILE.

Joe Lee Cunningham, a 27-year-old Second Lieutenant from Kingston, Oklahoma, died on August 13, 2011, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Army's 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment.

Master Sergeant Charles Levan Price III, 40, of Milam, Texas, was a U.S. Army soldier killed in Jaman, Afghanistan, on August 12, 2011.

U.S. Army Sergeant Edward J. Frank II, 26, of Yonkers, New York, died on August 11, 2011, in Nalgham, Afghanistan.

Sgt. Jameel Talib Freeman, 26, of Baltimore, Maryland, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He was killed by enemy small-arms fire on August 11, 2011, in Nalgham, Wardak province, Afghanistan.

Hospitalman Riley Gallinger-Long, 19, of Cornelius, Oregon, was a U.S. Navy corpsman serving with the 2nd Marine Division in Afghanistan. He was killed in action in Marjah, Helmand province, on August 11, 2011.

U.S. Army Specialist Patrick Lewis Lay II, 21, of Bradenton, North Carolina, died on August 11, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Private First Class Rueben Jesus Lopez, 27, of Williams, California, died on August 11, 2011, in Nalgham, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Specialist Jordan Matthew Morris, 23, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, died on August 11, 2011, in Nalgham, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Corporal Nicholas Stephen Ott, 23, of Manchester, New Jersey, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on August 10, 2011.

U.S. Army Sergeant Alessandro Leonard Plutino, 28, of Pitman, New Jersey, was killed in action on August 8, 2011, in Afghanistan's Zormat District.

Sgt. Adan Gonzales Jr., 28, of Bakersfield, California, was a U.S. Marine with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. He was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on August 7, 2011.

Sgt. Joshua James Robinson, 29, of Omaha, Nebraska, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on August 7, 2011. He served with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, based at Camp Pendleton, California.
