Corporal Nicholas Henry Olivas, 20, of Fairfield, Ohio, was a U.S. Army cavalry scout. He was killed in hostile action on May 30, 2012, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Joshua Eli Witsman, a 23-year-old Marine from Covington, Indiana, died in action on May 30, 2012, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Captain John R. Brainard III, 26, of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, was a U.S. Army officer serving with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. He died in a hostile incident in Kabul, Afghanistan, on May 28, 2012.

Sgt. Julian Clement Chase, 22, of Edgewater, Maryland, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on May 28, 2012.

John Castle Pratt, a 51-year-old Chief Warrant Officer 5 from Springfield, Washington, served with the U.S. Army's 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. He died in a hostile incident in Kabul, Afghanistan, on May 28, 2012.

Pfc. Leroy Deronde III, 22, of Jersey City, New Jersey, was a U.S. Army soldier serving with the 125th Brigade Support Battalion. He died in a hostile incident in Afghanistan's Chak-e Wardak district on May 27, 2012.
