Pfc. Cale Clyde Miller, 23, of Overland Park, Kansas, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He was killed in a hostile incident in Maiwand, Afghanistan, on May 24, 2012.

Cale Clyde Miller was a 23-year-old from Overland Park, Kansas. He served as a Private First Class with Bravo Company, 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, part of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. His unit deployed to Afghanistan in late 2011.

On May 24, 2012, Miller was killed in Maiwand District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. According to U.S. Department of Defense casualty reports, his death was the result of hostile enemy action. Specific details of the engagement were not publicly released by the military.

Miller's death occurred during Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan that began in October 2001. In 2012, the war was in its eleventh year, with U.S. and allied forces heavily engaged in southern provinces like Kandahar against Taliban and other insurgent forces.
