Sergio Eduardo Perez was a 21-year-old U.S. Army Specialist from Crown Point, Indiana, serving with the 713th Engineer Company. He was killed in a hostile incident in Jannan, Afghanistan, on July 16, 2012.

Nicholas Andrew Taylor, an American soldier from Berne, Indiana, died in Jannan, Afghanistan, on July 16, 2012, during Operation Enduring Freedom.
