U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Matthew Stephen Sluss-tiller, 35, of Callettsburg, Kentucky, was a member of Company B, 96th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne). He died in Timergara, Pakistan, on February 3, 2010.

At 39, SSG Stets, Mark Alan Jr of CONSTANTINOPLE, CA was serving with the ARMY, COMPANY A, 8TH PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS BATTALION (AIRBORNE), FORT BRAGG, NC, when he died in TIMERGARA, PAKISTAN on February 3, 2010. Cause: HOSTILE.

Pfc. Zachary George Lovejoy, 20, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He was killed in a hostile incident near Forward Operating Base Sweeny, Afghanistan, on February 2, 2010.

CPT Whitten, Daniel Preston, 28, a native of GRIMES, IA, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, C CO 1- 508TH PIR, 4TH BCT, 82ND ABN DIV, during Operation Enduring Freedom on February 2, 2010. Cause: HOSTILE.

Lance Corporal Michael Louis Freeman Jr., 21, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on February 1, 2010.

U.S. Army Specialist Marc Paul Decoteau, 19, of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, was killed in action on January 29, 2010, at Forward Operating Base Nunez, Afghanistan.

Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY C, 3D BATTALION, 3D SPECIAL FORCES GROUP, FORT BRAGG, NC, CPT Thompson, David J of HOOKER, OK, 39, died in FOB NUNEZ, AFGHANISTAN on January 29, 2010.

Staff Sgt. Rusty Hunter Christian, 24, was a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier from Greenville, Tennessee. He was killed by enemy fire on January 28, 2010, during a patrol in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal Jeremy Mitchell Kane, 22, of Towson, Maryland, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on January 23, 2010.
