Private First Class John Phillip Dion, 19, of Shattuck, Oklahoma, was killed by enemy fire on January 3, 2010, in Ashoque, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Army.

U.S. Army Sergeant Joshua Allen Lengstorf, 24, of Yoncalla, Oregon, died on January 3, 2010, in Ashoque, Afghanistan, from wounds sustained in a hostile incident.

Senior Airman Bradley Randall Smith, 24, of Troy, Illinois, served with the U.S. Air Force's 10th Air Support Operations Squadron. He was killed in hostile action on January 3, 2010, at Operating Location Wilson, Afghanistan.

SPC Anderson, Brushaun Xaviour, age 20, of COLUMBUS, GA ? Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY C, 2D BATTALION, 14TH INFANTRY, 2 BCT, FORT DRUM, NY, ? died on January 1, 2010 in BAGHDAD, IRAQ.

Staff Sergeant Anton Ramesh Phillips, 31, of Inglewood, California, was a U.S. Army soldier killed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, on December 31, 2009.

Staff Sergeant Ronald Jay Spino, 45, of Waterbury, Connecticut, served with the U.S. Army's 274th Forward Surgical Team in Afghanistan. He was killed in action in Herat province on December 29, 2009.

U.S. Army Specialist Jason Michael Johnston, 24, of Albion, New York, was killed in hostile action on December 26, 2009, in Arghandab, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant David Hector Gutierrez, 35, of San Francisco, California, was killed in action on December 25, 2009, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal Omar Gregdorian Roebuck, 23, of Moreno Valley, California, was a U.S. Marine serving with Mobility Assault Company, 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Private First Class Serge Kropov, 21, of Hawley, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Marine with HMH-462. He was killed in action on December 20, 2009, at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.

From CHICAGO, IL, SGT Ware, Albert Dono served with the ARMY, COMPANY F, 782ND COMBAT SUPPORT BATTALION, 4 BCT, FORT BRAGG, NC, and died on December 18, 2009 in ARGHANDAB, AFGHANISTAN. He was 27. Cause: HOSTILE.

Technical Sergeant Anthony Charles Campbell Jr., 35, of Florence, Kentucky, was a U.S. Air Force Reserve civil engineer. He was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on December 15, 2009.

In CAMP TAJI, IRAQ on December 10, 2009, the ARMY lost PV1 Tello, Jhanner Andres of LOS ANGELES, CA, 29, serving with COMPANY D, 3D BRIGADE, 227TH ASSAULT HELICOPTER BATTALION, 1ST ACB, FORT HOOD, TX.

Corporal Xhacob Latorre, a 21-year-old U.S. Marine from Waterbury, Connecticut, died on December 8, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. The Department of Defense confirmed his death as hostile.
