Staff Sergeant James Michael Malachowski, 25, of Westminster, Maryland, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on March 20, 2011.

U.S. Army Specialist Rudy Alexander Acosta, 19, of Canyon Country, California, died on March 19, 2011, in Shah Wali Kot, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Mecolus Chevette McDaniel, 33, of Fort Hood, Texas, died on March 19, 2011, in Shamul District, Khowst Province, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

U.S. Army Sergeant Donald Ray Mickler Jr., 29, of Trotwood, Ohio, died on March 19, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Master Sergeant Jamal Hasan Bowers, 41, of Raleigh, North Carolina, was a U.S. Army soldier serving with the 4th Military Information Support Group. He died at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, on March 18, 2011.

Lance Corporal Christopher Steele Meis, 20, of Bennett, Colorado, was a U.S. Marine with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines. He was killed in action in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on March 17, 2011.

Senior Airman Michael John Hinkle II, 24, of Corona, California, was a communications specialist with the U.S. Air Force's 28th Communications Squadron. He died on March 16, 2011, at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

SSG Travis Martin Tompkins, 31, from Lawton, OK, served with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. He died on March 16, 2011, in Logar Province.

U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Dae Han Park, 36, of Watertown, Connecticut, was killed in action on March 12, 2011, in the vicinity of Dahane Say, Afghanistan.

Private First Class Arturo Emmanuel Rodriguez, 19, of Bellflower, California, served with the U.S. Army's 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment. He died on March 12, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Orgun-E in Afghanistan.

Pfc. Andrew Martin Harper, 19, of Maidsville, West Virginia, was a U.S. Army soldier killed in action on March 11, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Ian Matthew Muller, a 22-year-old U.S. Marine corporal from Danville, Vermont, was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on March 11, 2011.

SSG Eric Stanley Trueblood from Alameda, CA, served in the 720th Ordnance Company and died at 27 in Arghandab, Afghanistan on March 10, 2011.

Corporal Loren Miles Buffalo, 20, of Mountain Pine, Arkansas, was a U.S. Army cavalry scout. He died on March 9, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Andrew Paul Wade, an American soldier from Antioch, IL, served in the U.S. Army and was killed in action at age 22 on March 9, 2011, in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Private First Class Kalin Christopher Lee Johnson, 19, of Lexington, South Carolina, was a U.S. Army soldier killed in action on March 8, 2011, in Rangrizan, Afghanistan.

SSG Mark Christopher Wells, 31, from San Jose, CA, died on March 5, 2011, in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, serving with the 74th ORD CO (EOD).

U.S. Army Sergeant Adam Daniel Craig, 23, of Cherokee, Iowa, died on March 4, 2011, in Bethesda, Maryland. He was a member of the Iowa National Guard's 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment, serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.
