Petty Officer Second Class Qi Xin, 25, of Cordova, Tennessee, died on January 23, 2010, in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Navy Reserve during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Staff Sergeant Thaddeus Scott Montgomery II, 29, of West Yellowstone, Montana, was killed in action on January 20, 2010, at a combat outpost in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan.

PFC Hurt, Gifford Ethan Jr, 19, a native of YONKERS, NY, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, BATTERY C, 1ST BATTALION, 14TH FIELD ARTILLERY, FORT SILL, OKLAHOMA, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on January 20, 2010.

Technical Sergeant Adam Kenneth Ginett, 29, of Knightdale, North Carolina, was a U.S. Air Force explosive ordnance disposal technician. He was killed by hostile action in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on January 19, 2010.

Captain Paul Wenceslaus Pena, 27, of San Marcos, Texas, was a U.S. Army infantry officer killed in action on January 19, 2010, in the Kuhak Mountain area of Afghanistan.

Sergeant First Class Michael Paul David Shannon, 52, of Canadensis, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Army Reserve soldier who died in Kabul, Afghanistan, on January 17, 2010. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Control Group in Saint Louis, Missouri.

U.S. Army Specialist Robert John Donevski, 19, of Sun City, Arizona, was killed in a hostile incident in Abad, Afghanistan, on January 16, 2010.

Sgt. Christopher Richard Hrbek, 25, of Westwood, New Jersey, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on January 14, 2010.

U.S. Army Sergeant Lucas Tyler Beachnaw, 23, of Lowell, Michigan, died on January 13, 2010, in Dam Darya Ya, Afghanistan, from hostile enemy action.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Daniel Dewayne Merriweather, 25, of Collierville, Tennessee, died on January 13, 2010, in Logar province, Afghanistan.

SPC Geoffrey Alexander Whitsitt, 21, from Taylors, SC, served in the US Army's 118th MP Company and died in Logar Province, Afghanistan on January 13, 2010.

Spc. Kyle James Wright, 22, from Romeoville, IL, served with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry, 5 BCT, Fort Lewis, WA, and died in Kandahar, Afghanistan on January 13, 2010.

Staff Sergeant Matthew Nevin Ingham, 25, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Marine serving with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion. He died on January 11, 2010, in Now Zad, Afghanistan.

Jamie Russel Lowe, a 21-year-old U.S. Marine corporal from Johnsonville, Illinois, died in a hostile incident in Nowzad, Afghanistan, on January 11, 2010.

CPL Nicholas Kelly Uzenski, 21, of Tomball, TX, served in the US Marine Corps 3D Recon BN and was killed in Nowzad, Afghanistan on January 11, 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Jacob Alexander Meinert, 20, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident in Bastion, Afghanistan, on January 10, 2010.

Lance Corporal Mark David Juarez, 23, of San Antonio, Texas, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on January 9, 2010.
