U.S. Army Sergeant Anthony Del Mar Peterson, 24, of Chelsea, Oklahoma, died on August 4, 2011, in the Zurmat district of Paktika province, Afghanistan.

Captain Waid Charles Ramsey, 41, of Red Bay, Alabama, was a U.S. Army National Guard soldier serving with the 20th Special Forces Group. He died on August 4, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Orgun-E, Afghanistan, from hostile action.

U.S. Army Private First Class Cody Glen Baker, 19, of Holton, Kansas, died in a hostile incident in Mayde Shardistrict, Afghanistan, on August 3, 2011.

U.S. Army Private First Class Gil Isai Moralesdelvalle, 21, of Jacksonville, Florida, was killed in action on August 3, 2011, in the Maidan Shahr District of Afghanistan's Wardak province.

U.S. Army Sergeant Barun Rai, 24, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was killed in action on August 3, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Shank in Afghanistan's Logar province.

Staff Sergeant Kirk Avery Owen, 37, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, was killed on August 2, 2011, in Lajah D., Paktia Province, Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Leon Horace Lucas Jr., 32, of Wilson, North Carolina, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on August 1, 2011.

Staff Sgt. Patrick Ryan Dolphin, 29, of Moscow, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Marine killed in action on July 31, 2011, in Herat, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Sergeant William Benjamin Grosspaniagua, 28, of Daly City, California, died on July 31, 2011, in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, while serving during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. Dennis Edward Kancler, 26, of Brecksville, Ohio, was a U.S. Marine killed in action on July 31, 2011, in Herat, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Private First Class Brice Murrill Scott, 22, of Fort Benning, Georgia, served with the U.S. Army's 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment. He died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on July 31, 2011.
