Staff Sergeant Jose Manuel Caraballo Pietri, 32, of Yauco, Puerto Rico, was a U.S. Army artilleryman. He was killed in a hostile incident on April 10, 2011, in Ghormach district, Afghanistan.

Private First Class Brandon Thomas Pickering, 21, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He died on April 10, 2011, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany from wounds sustained in Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Jeremy Daniel Smith, 26, of Arlington, Texas, was a U.S. Marine reservist serving with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines. He was killed in action in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on April 6, 2011.
