Captain Thomas Joseph Gramith, 27, of Eagan, Minnesota, was a U.S. Air Force F-15E pilot assigned to the 336th Fighter Squadron. He was killed in action in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, on July 18, 2009.

U.S. Army Corporal Benjamin Stephen Kopp, 21, of Rosemount, Minnesota, died on July 18, 2009, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., from wounds sustained in combat in Afghanistan.

U.S. Air Force Captain Mark Russell McDowell, 26, of the 336th Fighter Squadron, was killed in action on July 18, 2009, in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan.

SPC Drevnick, Daniel Paul, 22, a native of WOODBURY, MN, died serving in the National Guard, ARMY, 34TH MILITARY POLICE COMPANY, STILLWATER, MN, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on July 17, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

U.S. Army Specialist James David Wertish, 20, of Olivia, Minnesota, died on July 16, 2009, in Basrah, Iraq, while serving with the 34th Military Police Company.

Specialist Carlos E. Iv Wilcox, 27, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, was a U.S. Army National Guard soldier. He was killed in Basrah, Iraq, on July 16, 2009.

U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jason John Fabrizi, 29, of Seffner, Florida, was killed in Konar province, Afghanistan, on July 14, 2009.

Sgt. Michael Wayne Heede Jr., 22, of Delta, Pennsylvania, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident in Dehli, Afghanistan, on July 13, 2009.

Gunnery Sergeant David Shane Spicer, 33, of Zanesfield, Ohio, served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He died on July 13, 2009, in the Delhi area of Afghanistan's Helmand province.

Staff Sergeant Eric James Lindstrom, 27, of Flagstaff, Arizona, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He died on July 12, 2009, in Barge Matal, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.
