U.S. Army Corporal Brandon Michael Kirton, 25, of Englewood, Colorado, was killed in a hostile incident in Bur-Mohammad, Afghanistan, on May 18, 2011.

U.S. Army Specialist Bradley Louis Melton, 29, of Rolla, Missouri, was killed in a hostile incident in Qalat, Afghanistan, on May 16, 2011.

Private First Class Cheizray Lashawn Pressley, 21, of North Charleston, South Carolina, was killed in hostile action on May 16, 2011, in Qalat, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Army.

Staff Sergeant David Dwayne Self, 29, of Pearl, Mississippi, was a U.S. Army engineer serving with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment. He died on May 16, 2011, in Spin Ghbarga, Afghanistan, from hostile action.

In SPIN GHBARGA, AFGHANISTAN on May 16, 2011, the ARMY lost PV1 Tucker, Lamarol Jerome of GAINESVILLE, FL, 26, serving with 73D ENGINEER COMPANY, BRIGADE TROOPS BATTALION, 1 SBCT, FORT WAINWRIGHT, AK. Cause: HOSTILE.

U.S. Army Specialist Brian David Riley Jr., 24, of Longwood, Florida, served with the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Sgt. Amaru Aguilar, 26, of Miami, Florida, was a U.S. Army cavalry scout. He died on May 13, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. Kevin Brian Balduf, 27, of Nashville, Tennessee, was a U.S. Marine with 8th Communications Battalion. He died in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on May 12, 2011.

Lt. Col. Benjamin James Palmer, 43, of Modesto, California, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident at Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, on May 12, 2011.

U.S. Army First Lieutenant Demetrius Montaz Frison, 26, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was killed in hostile action on May 10, 2011, in Chergataw, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Sergeant Ken King Hermogino, 30, of Edwards AFB, California, was killed in action on May 9, 2011, in Herat, Afghanistan, while serving with Troop A, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment.

U.S. Army Specialist Riley Sheridan Spaulding, 21, of Sheridan, Texas, was killed in action on May 4, 2011, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Company C, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, based in Vilseck, Germany.

Lance Corporal Ronald Douglas Freeman, a 25-year-old U.S. Marine from Plant City, Florida, died on April 28, 2011, in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Matthew Daniel Hermanson, 22, of Appleton, Wisconsin, was killed by hostile fire on April 28, 2011, at Forward Operating Base Shank in Logar Province, Afghanistan.
