U.S. Army Specialist Jonathan Charles O'Neill, 22, of Zephyrhills, Florida, died on June 15, 2009, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, from wounds sustained in a hostile incident in Afghanistan.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ricky Linn Richardson Jr., 33, of Franklin, Missouri, was a U.S. Marine assigned to the 9th Engineer Support Battalion. He died in a hostile incident in Delaram, Afghanistan, on June 10, 2009.

U.S. Army Specialist Eduardo Sosa Silva, 25, of Greenfield, California, was killed in action on June 9, 2009, in Bagram, Afghanistan. He served with Task Force Thunder, 563rd Aviation Support Battalion.
