Lance Cpl. Dennis James Burrow, 23, of Naples, Florida, was a U.S. Marine killed in hostile action on August 7, 2009, at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Sergeant Jerry Randall Evans Jr., 23, of Eufaula, Alabama, was killed in action on August 7, 2009, in the Sayed Abad District of Afghanistan.

Capt. Matthew Charles Hays Freeman, 29, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, was a U.S. Marine killed in action on August 7, 2009, in the Shpee Valley of Kapisa province, Afghanistan.
