Chief Warrant Officer 2 Suresh Niranjan Aba Krause, 29, of Cathedral City, California, was killed on August 16, 2012, in Shah Wali Kot, Afghanistan, while serving with the U.S. Army's 25th Combat Aviation Brigade.

U.S. Army Sergeant Luis Antonio Oliver Galbreath, 41, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, was killed in a helicopter crash in Shah Wali Kot, Afghanistan, on August 16, 2012.

David John Warsen, 27, was a Navy SEAL Team Three member from Kentwood, MI, who died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on August 16, 2012, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Andrew James Keller was a 22-year-old U.S. Army Private First Class from Tigard, Oregon. He was killed in a hostile incident in Charkh, Afghanistan, on August 15, 2012.

Lance Corporal Gregory Thomas Buckley, 21, of Oceanside, New York, was a U.S. Marine killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on August 10, 2012.

Maj. Walter David Gray, 38, of Conyers, Georgia, was a U.S. Air Force officer with the 13th Air Support Operations Squadron. He died on August 8, 2012, near Combat Outpost Fiaz, Afghanistan.
