First Lieutenant Jonathan Paul Brostrom, 24, of Aiea, Hawaii, was killed on July 13, 2008, in a battle at a remote outpost in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Sergeant Israel Garcia, 24, of Long Beach, California, died on July 13, 2008, at Forward Operating Base Fenty in Afghanistan. He was assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment.

U.S. Army Corporal Jason Dane Hovater, 24, of Clinton, Tennessee, died on July 13, 2008, at Forward Operating Base Fenty in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.

U.S. Army Corporal Matthew Britten Phillips, 27, of Jasper, Georgia, was killed in a hostile incident at Forward Operating Base Fenty, Afghanistan, on July 13, 2008.

Corporal Pruitt Allen Rainey, 22, of Haw River, North Carolina, was a U.S. Army infantryman. He died on July 13, 2008, from hostile fire at Combat Outpost Kahler in Afghanistan.

Mitchell Wayne Young, an American Master Sergeant, died at 39 in Kajaki Sofla, Afghanistan, on July 13, 2008, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

CPL Gunnar William Zwilling, a 20-year-old from St. Louis, MO, served in the U.S. Army and died in Afghanistan on July 13, 2008.

From FLINT, MI, SFC Chevalier, Steven Joseph served with the ARMY, C CO, 2/327 IN BN, 1 BCT, 101 ABN DIV (AASLT) TF 1AD, and died on July 9, 2008 in BALAD, IRAQ. He was 35. Cause: HOSTILE.

U.S. Army Sergeant Douglas John Bull, 29, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, died on July 8, 2008, from hostile action at Bagram Airfield's Main Access Control Point in Afghanistan.

SSG Jimenez, Alex Ramon, 26, a native of LAWRENCE, MA, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY D, 4TH BATTALION, 31ST INFANTRY, 2 BCT, FORT DRUM, NY, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on July 8, 2008. Cause: HOSTILE.

From LEXINGTON, KY, CPL Mcmillan, William Lloyd Iii served with the ARMY, HHC, 1ST BATTALION, 21ST INFANTRY, 2 BCT, SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, HI, and died on July 8, 2008 in BAGHDAD, IRAQ. He was 22. Cause: HOSTILE.
