Sgt. Michael Currie Roy, 25, of North Fort Myers, Florida, was a U.S. Marine serving with the 3rd Marine Special Operations Battalion in Afghanistan. He died on July 8, 2009, in Khash, Afghanistan, from hostile action.

Darren Ethan Tate, a 21-year-old American sailor from Canyon, TX, was killed in action in Bagram, Afghanistan on July 8, 2009.

Lucas Montana Bregg, an American soldier from Wright City, MO, died in action in Baghdad, Iraq on July 8, 2009 at age 19.
