Their Story
Lucas Montana Bregg, born and raised in Wright City, Missouri, served as a Private First Class in the United States Army. He was assigned to Company D, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
At just 19 years old, PFC Bregg deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The operation began in March 2003 with the intention of dismantling weapons of mass destruction, as stated by coalition forces.
On July 8, 2009, PFC Bregg was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq. His death was documented in the Defense Casualty Analysis System, marking a solemn moment for his unit and family.
