David Joseph Brangman was born and raised in Lake Worth, Florida. Deciding to serve his country, he joined the U.S. Army, where he was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, from Fort Stewart, Georgia.
During his deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Brangman was stationed in Tikrit, Iraq. His unit was involved in various operations aimed at stabilizing the region, which was marked by ongoing conflict and unrest.
On February 13, 2005, Specialist Brangman lost his life in Tikrit due to hostile actions. His death was part of the broader sacrifices made by many during the conflict, which began in March 2003 and continued until August 2010.
