Jeremy Daniel Bow, 20, from Lemoore, CA, was a U.S. Marine killed in hostile action in Zaidon, Iraq, on October 30, 2004.

Their Story

Jeremy Daniel Bow was born in Lemoore, California, and served in the United States Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal. He was part of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, associated with the 3rd Marine Division, based at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay.

On October 30, 2004, Bow was deployed in Zaidon, Iraq, as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This operation commenced in March 2003 following the invasion of Iraq by coalition forces. The military campaign aimed to dismantle the regime of Saddam Hussein and establish a new governance framework.

Tragically, on that October day, Bow lost his life in a hostile encounter. His death was recorded in the Defense Casualty Analysis System, a somber reminder of the conflict's toll.

Operation Iraqi Freedom saw numerous engagements in regions like Zaidon, where military personnel faced significant risks from hostile forces. Bow's sacrifice is a part of the broader narrative of the conflict, which lasted until August 2010.

The loss of Jeremy Bow at the age of 20 is deeply felt by those who knew him and serves as a poignant reflection on the costs of war. His service and sacrifice are honored by the nation he served.
