Their Story
Amos Camden Riley Bock, an American Army officer, was born in New Madrid, Missouri. He was a First Lieutenant serving in Battery A, 4th Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, part of the 4th Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Bock was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a conflict initiated in March 2003 aimed at toppling the regime in Iraq and establishing a democratic government. His unit was engaged in operations in and around Baghdad.
On October 23, 2006, while carrying out his duties in Baghdad, Bock's life was tragically cut short due to hostile action. The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed his death, marking another somber day for his unit and family.
