William Anthony Blount was a Specialist in the United States Army, serving with Company B, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division based at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Born and raised in Petal, Mississippi, Blount joined the Army to serve his country and was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
