Lance Corporal Jeffrey Adam Bishop was a dedicated member of the United States Marine Corps, hailing from Dickson, Tennessee. Serving with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, part of Regimental Combat Team 6, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Bishop's commitment to his country led him to Iraq, where he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom, a military conflict initiated in March 2003 with the objective of toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein and establishing a democratic government.
