Jeremiah Allen Baro, a 21-year-old Marine from Clovis, CA, was killed in action in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on November 4, 2004, during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Their Story
Jeremiah Allen Baro served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Assigned to Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Marine Division, he was stationed out of Camp Pendleton, California.
Baro was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a military campaign initiated in March 2003. His unit was engaged in operations in Ar Ramadi, a city that saw significant conflict during the U.S. military presence in Iraq.
On November 4, 2004, Baro was killed in action due to hostile circumstances. He was among the 4,418 American military personnel who died in the course of the operation, which officially concluded in August 2010.
