Scott Garland Barnett was a Private First Class in the United States Army, serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 412th Aviation Support Battalion, based in Katterbach, Germany. Originally from Concord, California, Barnett's commitment to his unit and his country took him to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
