Master Sergeant Steven Edward Auchman was born and raised in Waterloo, New York. He dedicated his life to serving his country and was a member of the United States Air Force. Auchman was part of the 5th Air Support Operations Squadron based at Fort Lewis, Washington.
On November 9, 2004, Auchman lost his life in Mosul, Iraq. The cause was hostile, a term used to describe deaths resulting from enemy action. His passing is one among many during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a conflict that saw significant U.S. military involvement following its commencement on March 19, 2003.
