Staff Sergeant Jimmy Javier Arroyave was serving with the Marine Corps' Combat Service Support Battalion 1, Combat Service Support Group 11, 1st Force Service Support Group based at Camp Pendleton, California, when he was killed in action. His life ended on April 15, 2004, in Northeast Ar Ramadi, Iraq, during the early stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
