SGT Roberto Arizola Jr was born and raised in the city of Laredo, Texas. He pursued a career in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he was assigned to B Company, 297th Military Intelligence Battalion, part of the 525th Military Intelligence Brigade, under the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
During his deployment to Iraq, SGT Arizola participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom, an extensive military campaign initiated in March 2003. The operation aimed to remove the regime in Iraq and establish a democratic government. His role as a member of the military intelligence unit placed him in a critical position, gathering and analyzing information essential for military operations.
On June 8, 2005, SGT Arizola died in Baghdad, Iraq. His passing was classified as a result of hostile action, a term used to describe deaths due to enemy engagement or combat-related incidents.
