Ansong, Theophilus Kwaku
Theophilus Kwaku Ansong was an American sailor from Centreville, VA, killed in action at age 34 on February 4, 2009, in the Alboran Sea during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Their Story
Theophilus Kwaku Ansong served as a Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy. He was assigned to the USS San Antonio, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship, which was operating in the Alboran Sea at the time of his death.
Ansong was born and raised in Centreville, Virginia. His service in the Navy reflected a commitment to his country, participating in operations that were part of the larger conflict known as Operation Iraqi Freedom.
