Specialist Yoe Manuel Aneiros was a dedicated member of the United States Army, serving with C Company, 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor, 1st Armored Division. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Aneiros enlisted in the military, driven by a sense of duty and commitment to his country.
Aneiros was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, which began on March 19, 2003. The operation aimed to remove the regime in Iraq and establish a democratic government. As part of the 1st Armored Division, Aneiros was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, before being deployed overseas.
On September 7, 2004, Specialist Aneiros lost his life in Sadr City, Baghdad, a location that saw intense conflict during the ongoing military operations. The nature of his death was categorized as hostile, reflecting the dangerous conditions faced by military personnel in the region.
