Their Story
Sergeant First Class Brent Allen Adams, originally from West View, Pennsylvania, served in the United States Army. He was assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, part of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force based in Washington, PA.
Adams was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a conflict initiated in March 2003 with the objective of toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein. The operation saw a diverse coalition of international forces engaged in military activities predominantly in the Middle East.
On December 1, 2005, Adams lost his life in Ramadi, Iraq, a city that was a focal point of intense military engagements during the conflict. His death was recorded as resulting from hostile action, underscoring the perilous conditions faced by service members during their deployment.
