On March 10, 2009, the MARINE CORPS lost LCPL Malone, Patrick Antonio of OCALA, FL in SAQLAWEIYAH, IRAQ. He was 21.

Private First Class Patrick Allen Devoe II, 27, of Auburn, New York, was a U.S. Army soldier serving in Afghanistan. He died on March 8, 2009, from hostile fire at Forward Operating Base Salerno.

1LT Hyde, Daniel Brian, 24, a native of MODESTO, CA, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY A, 2ND BATTALION, 35TH INF. REG, 3 BCT, 25TH ID, SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, HI, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 7, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

On March 3, 2009, the ARMY lost SPC Sarandrea, Jessica Yvette of MIAMI, FL in MOSUL, IRAQ. She was 22. Cause: HOSTILE.

SGT Reed, Jeffrey Alexander, 23, a native of CHESTERFIELD, VA, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, 411TH MILITARY POLICE COMPANY, 93D MILITARY POLICE BATTALION, FORT HOOD, TX, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 2, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

Sgt. Simone Asia Robinson, 21, of Dixmoor, Illinois, served with Company E, 634th Brigade Support Battalion, Illinois Army National Guard. She died on March 1, 2009, from hostile action while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedo

U.S. Marine Corporal Donte Jamal Whitworth, 21, of Noblesville, Indiana, was killed in action on February 28, 2009, at Camp Al Taqaddum, Iraq.

At 26, CPL Connelly, Brian Michael of UNION BEACH, NJ was serving with the ARMY, A CO, 40TH EN BN, (ATTACHED TO 1-6 IN) (1-6 IN ATTACHED TO 3-82 ABN) (TASK ORG TO MND-B), when he died in ADHAMIYAH, IRAQ on February 26, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

Captain Brian Matthew Bunting, 29, of Potomac, Maryland, was a U.S. Army officer serving with Headquarters, 27th Infantry Regiment. He died in a hostile incident in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on February 24, 2009.

U.S. Army Sergeant Schuyler Brent Patch, 25, of Galva, Illinois, was killed in hostile action on February 24, 2009, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Scott Bradley Stream was an American Army Sergeant from Mattoon, IL, killed in hostile action in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on February 24, 2009, during Operation Enduring Freedom.

SGT Daniel James Thompson, 24, of Madison, WI, served with the 715th Military Police Company and died on February 24, 2009, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

CPL Micheal Boyd Alleman, an American soldier from Logan, UT, served in Troop A, 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry and died in Balad, Iraq, on February 23, 2009, at age 31.
