Yoder, Jarett Michael

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jarett Michael Yoder dedicated his service to the United States Army National Guard, serving with Task Force Destiny, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, Bravo Company, 1-104th Aviation Regiment, under Combined Joint Task Force 101. Hailing from Mohnton, Pennsylvania, Yoder was part of the continuing efforts of Operation Enduring Freedom, a mission launched in response to the September 11 attacks.

On April 9, 2013, in Pachir wa Agam, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, Yoder was killed in action while engaged in operations against insurgent forces. His unit was tasked with providing crucial aerial support, a role that was vital in the counterinsurgency efforts during this period of the conflict.

Yoder's death was a solemn reminder of the ongoing sacrifices made by service members in the pursuit of stability and peace in the region. The Defense Casualty Analysis System recorded his passing on the same day, marking another loss in the decade-long mission in Afghanistan.
