Charles Edward Wyckoff Jr, 28, was a U.S. Army Sergeant from Chula Vista, CA, who died on June 6, 2007, in Nalan, Helmand Province during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Their Story
Sergeant Charles Edward Wyckoff Jr served in the U.S. Army with Company C, 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry, 4th Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Born and raised in Chula Vista, California, he dedicated his life to military service.
On June 6, 2007, Sergeant Wyckoff was killed in action in Nalan, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, at the age of 28. His death was confirmed by the Department of Defense and attributed to hostile actions during a period when insurgent activities were prominent in the region.
