Their Story
Sergeant First Class Benjamin Brian Wise served in the United States Army as a member of Company A, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), part of the United States Army Special Operations Command stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Wise was a combatant in Operation Enduring Freedom, a military campaign initiated on October 7, 2001, aimed at dismantling terrorist groups in Afghanistan and securing the country. His service was marked by dedication and commitment to his unit's mission.
On January 15, 2012, Wise succumbed to injuries sustained during hostile action. He was being treated at a medical facility in Landstuhl, Germany, where he ultimately passed away. The Department of Defense confirmed his death shortly thereafter.
