Their Story
Capt. Nicholas Schade Whitlock was a dedicated member of the United States Air Force, serving with the 34th Special Operations Squadron based at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Born and raised in Newnan, Georgia, Whitlock pursued a career in the military with a commitment to serve his nation.
During his deployment, Capt. Whitlock was involved in operations across Afghanistan, the Philippines, and the Horn of Africa as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. This extensive and multi-theater conflict was initiated in response to the events of September 11, 2001, and focused on dismantling terrorist organizations and stabilizing regions of strategic importance.
