James Paul White Jr, a Private First Class in the United States Army, hailed from Huber Heights, Ohio. Born in 1987, White joined the military in his late teens, seeking to serve his country during a complex period in global affairs.
Assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, part of Task Force Spartan, White was stationed at Fort Drum, New York, before his deployment. His unit was involved in Operation Enduring Freedom, a campaign initiated in response to the events of September 11, 2001.
On August 11, 2006, White was in Jalalabad, a city in eastern Afghanistan. It was here that he met his untimely death due to hostile actions. At just 19 years old, his passing marked a significant loss for his family, friends, and fellow service members.
