Benjamin Daniel White, a Senior Airman in the U.S. Air Force, served with the 48th Rescue Squadron based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. Born and raised in Erwin, Tennessee, White dedicated his life to serving his country.
Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan, had been ongoing since October 7, 2001. It was during this prolonged conflict that White was deployed to Afghanistan, contributing to efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist organizations.
