Sergeant Daniel Mark Vasselian served with distinction as part of the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed with the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, Task Force Belleau Wood, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), 2nd Marine Division, based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
