Their Story
Eric Stanley Trueblood was born and raised in Alameda, California. He joined the U.S. Army and served with the 720th Ordnance Company, 391st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, part of the 16th Sustainment Brigade based in Mannheim, Germany.
Trueblood's service took him to diverse regions, including Afghanistan, where he participated in Operation Enduring Freedom. This operation, initiated in response to the September 11 attacks, was a significant military campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks.
On March 10, 2011, in Arghandab, Afghanistan, Trueblood's life was tragically cut short. His death was classified as hostile, reflecting the dangerous conditions faced by military personnel in the region.
