Specialist Juan Manuel Torres, a 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, served in the United States Army Reserve as part of the 453D Transportation Company, 90th Regional Readiness Command. His unit was based at 6903 Perimeter Park Drive, Houston, Texas. Torres's commitment to his service was evident as he participated in Operation Enduring Freedom, which began in October 2001.
