Cody Dalton Suggs was a Specialist in the U.S. Army National Guard, serving with the 1487th Transportation Company, 112th Transportation Battalion, 371st Sustainment Brigade based in Piqua, Ohio. Born in West Alexandria, Ohio, Suggs was deployed as part of the U.S. military efforts in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Operation Enduring Freedom, initiated in October 2001, aimed at dismantling al-Qaeda and removing the Taliban from power in Afghanistan. Suggs was among the thousands of American service members sent to support these objectives.
