Their Story
SGT Michael Joseph Strachota served with the 96th Transportation Company, 117th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 45th Sustainment Brigade, Joint Sustainment Command – Afghanistan. His military service took him to multiple locations, including Afghanistan, the Philippines, and the Horn of Africa.
Born in White Hall, Arkansas, Strachota was part of the U.S. Army's broader efforts during Operation Enduring Freedom, which began in response to the events of September 11, 2001. The operation aimed to dismantle terrorist organizations and support Afghan security forces.
