Their Story
Kyle Brandon Stout was a Sergeant in the United States Army, serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division. He was deployed from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
On July 30, 2010, Sgt. Stout lost his life in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom. His death was classified as a result of hostile action.
Stout's service in Afghanistan was part of a broader U.S. military effort initiated in October 2001 in response to the events of September 11. This operation aimed to dismantle terrorist organizations and stabilize the region.
