Their Story
First Lieutenant Timothy George Santos Jr. was a U.S. Army officer assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, part of the 1st Armored Division's Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Bliss, Texas. His service included deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S.-led military campaign that began in Afghanistan in October 2001.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Santos died on August 18, 2013, in El Paso, Texas.
