Adam David Quinn was a 22-year-old sergeant from Orange City, Florida. He served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) of the 82nd Airborne Division, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The 82nd Airborne is a rapid-deployment unit that saw extensive service in Afghanistan.
On October 6, 2007, Quinn died from wounds sustained in a hostile incident at Camp Eggers, a military transition and training command center in Kabul. The Department of Defense casualty report listed his death as hostile. No further specifics regarding the nature of the attack were detailed in the initial release.
