Lance Cpl. Kevin Thomas Preach, 21, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident on February 7, 2009. He died in San Antonio, Texas, while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.

Kevin Thomas Preach was a 21-year-old from Bridgewater, Massachusetts, who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Lance Corporal with the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, which was deployed as part of the ground combat element of the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force in Afghanistan. The unit was based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Preach died on February 7, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. According to the Department of Defense, his death was the result of a hostile incident that occurred in Afghanistan. He was subsequently transported to the United States, where he was pronounced dead at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
Operation Enduring Freedom was the U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan, launched in October 2001 following the September 11 attacks. The mission initially focused on dismantling al-Qaeda and removing the Taliban from power, later shifting to counter-insurgency and stabilization operations.
