Dawid Pietrek was a 24-year-old Private First Class from Bensenville, Illinois. He served with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, based out of Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California.
