Isaac Palomarez was a 26-year-old soldier from Loveland, Colorado. He served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. His military service reportedly included deployments to the Philippines and the Horn of Africa prior to his assignment to Afghanistan.
Sergeant Palomarez died on May 9, 2008, at Forward Operating Base Kutzbach in Afghanistan's Paktika Province.
