Garrett Anderson Misener was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, part of Regimental Combat Team 1, I Marine Expeditionary Force Forward. The battalion was based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Misener was from Cordova, Tennessee.
